Every normal day starts with plans to
accomplish various daily activities, be it work related duties, meetings,
groceries, dry cleaning so on so forth. However, at the end of the day you may
be surprised that you actually achieved very little vis a vis your plans. This
dictates the need for applying various time management skills that are vital in
improving your organizational skills and hence productivity. The more these
tools you are willing to apply, the more you will get done every day.
- Prepare in advance
“Proper prior preparation prevents poor
performance.” Preparing your next day’s work list the evening or night
before not only allows you to lay out the next day’s activities but also allows
your subconscious mind to go to work on your plans and goals while you are
asleep. Very often you will arise the next morning with ideas and insights that
are relevant to your work plans.
- Schedule your time
“Scheduling your time reduces stress and
releases energy.” When you plan your day, week or a month in advance you
enjoy a great feeling of control. With the greater sense of being in charge, you
tend to improve your self-esteem and personal power hence accomplish more
throughout your day.
- .
Start
early
“The more time you take to sit, think
and plan the better organized you will be in every area of your daily
undertakings.” To enhance your productivity, start your day earlier. All
successful men and women have on thing in common. They’ve developed a habit of
arising early in the morning to allow a few minutes of quite reflection before
embarking on any undertaking thus saving many hours in executing their plans.
